8th March 2016
At the March meeting our guest speaker was Patricia Begg a scholar and collector of porcelain and glass who has curated exhibitions for major galleries including the National Gallery of Victoria. She gave an illustrated presentation of the gardens and porcelain in the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on the French Riviera. Among the unexpected revelations of the garden was the presence of a considerable number of Australian plants and a rather hidden Japanese garden.

The demonstration at the meeting was given by Eiko Roskam of the Ohara school.
She created a autumn coloured, Rimpa style moribana arrangement using 'cockscomb', chrysanthemum and variegated miscanthus.
Here is Eiko's finished work.
As the theme for the meeting included ceramics, members made arrangements in vessels that were of particular meaning to them.
